Summary:

RPI Inc. is seeking a motivated Shipping/Receiving Technician to join our growing team. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management, shipment processing, and receiving operations. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize strong organizational skills to control inventory, perform cycle counts, and make adjustments using warehouse management software.
• Pack outgoing shipments to ensure safe arrival and prepare accurate shipping documentation using designated carrier platforms (e.g., UPS/FedEx).
• Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming manufactured items, verifying accuracy to blueprints and ensuring received quantities match purchase orders.
• Complete all necessary documentation associated with shipments and receipts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely operate equipment commonly used in warehouse settings, including forklifts (with proper certification).
• Demonstrate proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and rulers.

Qualifications/Competencies:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and willingness to learn new software programs.
• Adaptability and a flexible work style to handle changing priorities.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary (rarely, but paid at time and a half).

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, with occasional (but rare) overtime hours (paid at time and a half when exceeding 40 hours in a week).
