About ArcadeXR

We're a team of around 30 people across Singapore, Australia and Vietnam, with our headquarters and largest team based in Singapore.
We're looking for a People & Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day people operations, recruitment and office environment that keep our team running well.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on role.
You might spend Tuesday morning reviewing an employment contract or dealing with a work pass, and Tuesday afternoon sorting out an issue with the cleaning vendor, helping an employee with an insurance claim, or ordering supplies for the Friday get together.
You'll be the primary People & Operations person for our Singapore team, making sure employees are supported, hiring moves quickly, administration is accurate, compliance is taken seriously, and the office runs well.
This isn't primarily an HR strategy or organisational development role. We're looking for someone who is operationally excellent: organised, dependable, approachable, comfortable making decisions and willing to roll up their sleeves when something needs to get done.
You'll work closely with the CEO, Finance, hiring managers and our regional teams.
What You'll Own
People Operations
- Employment contracts, letters and employee documentation
- Onboarding and offboarding
- Employee records, leave and attendance administration
- Probation, performance review and compensation review cycles
- HR policies and employee handbook administration
- Supporting employee relations and performance management matters
- Singapore employment administration and MOM requirements
- Work pass applications and renewals
- Being a practical and approachable first point of contact for employee questions
You'll work with the CEO and managers on more complex employee matters where appropriate.
Talent Acquisition
Recruitment is an important part of this role rather than an occasional HR responsibility. You'll:
- Work with hiring managers to define role requirements and candidate profiles
- Post and manage job advertisements across relevant channels
- Proactively source candidates where appropriate
- Screen applications and conduct initial interviews
- Coordinate interviews and keep hiring processes moving
- Manage candidate communication and experience
- Support offer decisions, prepare offers and help close candidates
- Manage recruitment agencies selectively where they add genuine value
- Coordinate onboarding for successful candidates
Office & Culture
You'll own the day-to-day operation of our Singapore office, including:
- Office vendors, cleaning and maintenance
- Supplies, pantry and general workplace needs
- Friday food and drinks and informal team activities
- Company events, including our Christmas party and other celebrations
- Identifying and resolving the small operational issues that can otherwise become distractions for the team
Benefits & Regional Coordination
You'll also be responsible for:
- Corporate medical insurance and employee benefits administration
- Annual insurance review and renewal
- Helping employees understand coverage and navigate claims
- Coordinating employee information with Finance for payroll
- Supporting basic People Operations requirements for our small Perth team
- Coordinating with existing local HR support in Vietnam where required
What We're Looking For
- Solid People Operations / HR experience in Singapore
- Strong practical knowledge of Singapore employment administration and MOM requirements
- Experience with employment contracts, work passes, onboarding, offboarding and employee records
- Genuine hands-on recruitment experience, including candidate sourcing and screening
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Good judgment and discretion with confidential or sensitive matters
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Approachable and able to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries
- Comfortable challenging others — and being challenged — professionally and constructively
- A practical mindset: when something needs doing, you find a way to get it done
Nice to Have
- Experience in a startup, scale-up, technology or gaming company
- Experience supporting teams across multiple countries
- Experience managing employee benefits, HR systems or office operations
What Success Looks Like
You'll be successful in this role if you:
- Keep our People Operations organised, accurate and ahead of deadlines
- Build a recruitment process that finds good candidates and moves quickly
- Create a well-run office where employees and managers know they can rely on you
- Take ownership of day-to-day People matters while knowing when something should be escalated
Why Join Us
This is a role with genuine ownership and variety. You'll work directly with the CEO and leaders across the business, with the autonomy to shape how People Operations works as we grow.
We're not looking for elaborate HR frameworks for the sake of having them. We want sensible processes, good judgment, strong execution and a great employee experience.
Some days that means improving how we recruit and onboard people. Other days it means dealing with MOM, solving an employee issue, chasing a vendor and making sure there are drinks in the fridge for Friday.
If that combination sounds energising rather than beneath you, you'll probably enjoy working here.
