About this role

The Supply Chain Security Manager provides leadership across global transport security, customer compliance, and risk management. Operating in an asset-light international freight forwarding environment, this role is responsible for overseeing global security programs, leading cargo theft and fraud investigations, and meeting enterprise client security requirements. The position establishes consistent security standards across our partner network, protecting business margins and supporting regional growth across APAC.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Global Team Leadership & People Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional Security Managers, setting clear performance KPIs, driving talent development, and managing regional resource allocation to ensure a cohesive global security organization.
  • Global Security Governance & Policy: Establish, maintain, and enforce global security policies, risk frameworks, and governance standards across all regions, ensuring alignment between executive leadership, regional Security Managers, and evolving regulatory mandates.
  • Global Transportation Security Programs: Direct global transport security SOPs and certifications (including TAPA, C-TPAT, and AEO) across air, ocean, and ground freight networks, ensuring regional security leads consistently enforce high-value cargo protocols.
  • Customer Requirements & Commercial Enablement: Serve as the global security contact for key accounts, guiding regional security managers through enterprise client security audits, RFP questionnaires, and contract SLAs to support international sales growth and key account retention.
  • Investigations & Crisis Management: Oversee major global investigations into cargo theft, freight identity fraud, and security breaches, supporting regional managers in coordinating with local law enforcement, insurers, and legal teams to recover assets and implement corrective actions.


ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
  • TAPA (FSR/TSR) Auditor certification preferred. Recognized professional security designations (e.g., CPP, CFE) are a strong plus.
  • Formal training or demonstrated expertise in global supply chain security programs, including C-TPAT, AEO, TSA/IAC
  • Proficient in standard office applications (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) for contract review, data analysis, audit documentation, and reporting.


Knowledge/Work Experience

  • Ideally 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain security, transportation risk management, or logistics compliance within a global organization
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a direct leading role, with demonstrated success managing, mentoring, and allocating resources for regional or remote teams across multiple geographies
  • Direct experience working within international freight forwarding or 3PL operations (experience in an asset-light business model strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations into cargo theft, freight identity fraud, and supply chain breaches, including direct coordination with law enforcement and insurers.
