Controller Specialist

We are looking for a Controller Specialis t to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. This is a hands-on and analytical role, ideal for someone who is comfortable working across different financial areas, including accounting, tax, financial analysis, and pricing.

You will act as a key point of contact between the local operation, global teams, and external accounting partners (BPO), helping to structure financial information, ensure compliance, and support business decision-making.

In this role, you will:

• Manage accounting routines, including journal entries and general ledger support
• Support monthly and annual closing processes and P&L reporting
• Ensure compliance with Brazilian accounting and tax requirements
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable flows, working closely with external partners
• Act as the main point of contact with the accounting BPO and global (matrix) teams
• Support tax routines and explain Brazilian tax structures to international stakeholders
• Perform cost analysis and support financial planning activities
• Develop and maintain pricing structures, including building a pricing “calculator” adapted to different Brazilian states (taxes, logistics, and local requirements)
• Monitor cash flow and support basic treasury activities
• Support inventory control and reconciliation of assets and liabilities
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports for internal stakeholders
• Contribute to organizing and improving financial data, processes, and controls

What we expect of you:

• Advanced English (written and spoken) — ability to communicate clearly with global teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles

• Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax and accounting environment

• Experience with cost analysis and pricing structure

• Experience working with multiple financial routines (accounting, tax, AP/AR)

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel (ability to structure models/calculations)

• Strong analytical mindset and ownership

• Ability to work independently and connect different areas of finance

• Experience in accounting firms (BPO) or shared services environments

• Experience in multinational companies

• Knowledge of IFRS

• Experience building financial models or pricing tools
