About this role

Threespot designs and builds websites and digital platforms for nonprofits, foundations, and cultural institutions. Our Account Leads (Producers) run digital strategy, brand, website, and web-based application design and development projects, providing day-to-day leadership to both client and internal teams. They build deep relationships with their clients by operating as a strategic partner and helping clients level up their digital communications to achieve their goals and missions. If you want to work for clients who are making a difference and not just a profit, we should talk.

Responsibilities

  • Owns growth on assigned accounts. Identifies opportunities for additional work, pitches ideas to clients, and leads the effort to scope and win it. Makes sure clients understand the full range of Threespot’s services.
  • Cultivates durable, trusting client relationships. Can build relationships with clients even through difficulties. Leads and navigates challenging conversations to reach a solution.
  • Builds and manages project plans and budgets for projects ranging from quick-turnaround engagements to large-scale, multi-year website development projects, as well as creative services retainers. Delivers projects on time and on budget.
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects across several accounts. Consistently keeps administrative tasks up to date. Appropriately prioritizes work to address time-sensitive or otherwise important needs over less critical work.
  • Supports business development by contributing to scoping, scheduling, and budgeting proposals and by pitching our client service and project management capabilities. Can pull a team together to discuss the project approach, gather estimates, and suggest ways to tackle novel or new projects.
  • Leads cross-functional, multi-allocated teams, including Creative Directors, Strategists, User Experience specialists, Designers, and Developers. Contributes ideas to conversations and facilitates collaborative discussions to help the team arrive at solutions. Understands each teammate’s role well enough to help them problem-solve and speak to clients about their work.

Skills

  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and promptly with project teams and clients, and knows what information to share with whom. Determines and provides next steps from conversations.
  • Is excellent at mitigating risks by identifying them before they happen, including risks to project scope, timeline, or budget. Knows how to communicate risks to clients and work through solutions.
  • Is willing to pitch in to help get work done however they can. Shares advice and knowledge with other members of the Client Services team.
  • Challenges business-as-usual with new ideas, practices, and perspectives. Is proactive in sharing information and ideas with others to improve overall work and ways of working.
  • Represents Threespot and its values professionally with clients, internal teams, and the community, and builds enthusiasm for our work.
  • Gives thoughtful, constructive feedback to team members to help them improve the quality of their work and their ways of working. Advocates for the client and ties work back to goals.
  • Is self-motivated and able to work autonomously without requiring direction to address challenges or seize opportunities. Is not looking for a rigid set of rules to follow but understands inherently how to get a team from A to Z.

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years in a digital project management, producer, or account director role, producing and/or creating strategic digital solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of client service, the creative process, and web development technologies.
  • Track record of expanding scope or revenue on existing client accounts, with specific examples you can walk us through.
  • Strategic thinker who keeps the bigger picture in view, handles details, and works through ambiguity to find solutions.
  • Experience working in a digital or creative agency.

  • Experience with nonprofit, foundation, cultural, or government clients is a plus.
